The Israeli military has added another Iron Dome battery to its arsenal of anti-missile defense systems.
A fifth unit was formerly deployed for emergency use during the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in November.
The unit is now stationed near the southern Eilat and is fully operational.
Iron Dom is a mobile unit used to counter short-range rockets and artillery shells in all weather conditions.
The system, funded by the US, has been increasingly praised by the Israeli military.
