5.9-magnitude quake hits Santa Cruz Islands: USGS

An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted Santa Cruz Islands at 06:43:17 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 13.50 km, was initially determined to be at 11.0780 degrees south latitude and 165.0604 degrees east longitude.
