The Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Interior Ministry have crushed a pan-regional criminal network involved in a series of crimes, including the illegal production of weapons, ammunition and explosives in the Central and Northwestern federal districts.
A joint special operation was held in St. Petersburg and in the Tver, Smolensk, Pskov and Novgorod regions, leading to the detention of an organized criminal group, Interfax reported on Tuesday, citing the FSB's Public Relations Center.
More than 100 firearms, 35 kilograms of explosives, 20 explosive devices and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition were seized.
