US authorities announced Thursday they have arrested Fazliddin Kurbanov, a 30-year-old Uzbekistan national, on federal terrorism charges. The Idaho indictment alleges Kurbanov, between August 2012 and May 2013, knowingly provided financial support and computer software information to the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, a designated terrorist organization.
Kurbanov is also charged with possessing an unregistered explosive device and distributing information about bombs to be used in the detonation of a weapon of mass destruction.
