Authorities called to join efforts in the fight against organized crime that takes place in the State.
MÉXICO, D.F-former President Felipe Calderón insisted on Sunday that the only way to return the security to Michoacan, beaten down by the violence of organized crime, is with the clearance of the police and the public prosecutors.
"Be solved not insecurity in Michoacan, while local governments continue refusing to purge police officers and MPs, penetrated by the crime", wrote Calderon in his (@FelipeCalderon ) Twitter account.
Due to the high rates of violence in the State, the national defense Secretariat (Sedena) called on Saturday the inhabitants of Michoacan, as well as State and federal authorities to join efforts in the fight against organized crime that takes place in the State.
General Brigadier Salvador Cienfuegos, holder of the Sedena said that the violence generated by organized crime groups encourages the federal Government to make solid and concrete actions for the benefit of the people.
"This situation showing groups criminals violating the law empowers President Enrique Peña Nieto to instruct us to provide support to State and local authorities with solid and forceful actions that protect the population and give certainty and peace of mind", said.
The general mentioned that coordination between municipal, State and federal authorities in accordance with law, will allow to return peace and tranquility to the entity, the call of the Secretary of national defense, show up for a few days that the federal Government announced the rescue of the State of Michoacán.
In the announcement, the Government mentioned that, as a first step, was designated to the Brigadier general Alberto Reyes Vaca as Secretary of public security of the State.
