Israeli jets penetrated Lebanese airspace on Tuesday and flew over the country’s south, media reports said. Lebanon has repeatedly condemned the flyovers, saying they are in clear violation of UN Resolution 1701.
Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Sunday that the Israeli incursions were “an attempt to raise tensions in southern Lebanon against the international will, which is represented by the UN peacekeeping forces in the area.”
